Shoulders

Standard

They simply shrug,

The limited expanse of them.

Upholding the head high,

Bearing the unasked baggage,

Bumping into people,

Hunching and brooding.

Being lopsided yet original.

Reliable as they are,

They would buckle,

With the weight of a feather,

Added to the world that they carry.

Interesting thoughts … and while a little different from yours, I think sometimes shoulders can be something to lean on … or to help carry a burden.

    Again, nice bit of images.
